It was like last weekend when I was talking to Fr8train about the EXACT same thing! I was talking about using canvas or vinly or something with a clear plastic window where we can zip down and up, like jeeps for rainy weather (on dailys). Thanks for the pics!

Somebody else had posted pictures of a jeep style canvas door they were make to fit a cut down door on a K5. I'm thinking of going that route myself. I think I have managed to cume up with a set of doors to cut down now. Should know by the end of the week. BigJbear and I are about to strip a truck and he needs a passenger door bad. So if after he get's what he needs if there is still a fair door left I'll be set.

Ya i want to do that to my rig. The person who owned it before shaved off the door handles to make it look "cool." They werent a big deal until the poppers stopped working. So now I just want to take the whole door off and put half doors in.

Grim, If you are going to try and mount something like a CJ 1/2 door what is left of mine should work. It is too far gone to do just the small cut out, though. Heck, its even the right color for for your truck, you'll just need to to knock the gloss off the finish.

73 to 75 could use them too. only when they had the top off. but then it would look like a ramcharger... YUCK
those look good. i am still debating on doors at all.
i would get lots of flex in the tub if i didnt put something there. so i am going to build a tubular setup that goes from hinge to latch and then a "y" peice or third tube to the other hinge.
add some expanded steel and some gussets and it should look real good.

Full roll cage takes care of flex. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
So how much would you pay for my full cage? I'm thinking of buying a bender and make a new one.

I did a post on doing the samething about 2 or 3 years ago only with out the canvas. My ideal was to take the door in and have it coated with bedliner.
