The book Hannibal covers ALOT of material that was left out of the movie version including hints at Hannibal's early years and some explanation as to his mental state and his affection for Clarice. It also has a VERY different ending than the movie.

For fans of the series, I highly recommend picking up the book.

EDIT: Thomas Harris is the author.

My insomnia was caused by a new dog in the house. Well, actually, the new dog caused the old dog to whimper and whine continously through the night.

Hannibal was my favorite of the series. I love the movie version even though it left out alot from the book.

I will be in attendance opening night for this one for sure.

uhg, Hannibal was the worst one of the series IMO. Maybe if they had Foster it would have helped... but it just didn't work for me. Red Dragon was the shizzle... but the Silence of the Lambs is my fav.
