    Happy Thanksgiving, Ladies and Gents.... Be safe, no burning down the trailer park with the deep frier, alright?... Im gonna try not to burn the one down im cooking mine in... Would be a lot of old people on scooters running around...

    happy thangsgiving all

    I am deep frying a turkey for the first time today and it dawned on me i have no thermometer that goes to 325 degrees. anybody got any suggestions on how to wing it(no pun intended).

    Yeah, go buy a thermometer! The temperature is rather important, and fluctuates easily.

    well i winged it because we cooked 3 turkeys today and i figured if it turned out bad oh well. but anyway 1 1/2 hours cooking time and the internal temp reached 180 in the breast and it turned out great.
