Has anyone had the metal around the mounting holes for the hardtop to the windshield frame crack & break away from the windshield frame? What can be done to repair this for a '72 Blazer? My top is just flopping now.

If you are talking about the bolts that hold the angled mounts, that have one bolt in the windshield frame and two into the top. You can weld the threaded sleeves back into the frame. If they are damaged you can weld nuts into the frame. Are the bolts that go through the visor mount into the top still in place?

Thanks for the info. Yes, the brackets are still attached to the top. The only damaged part is where the bolt screws into the nut in the windshield frame. The metal that the nut is welded to has broke away around the nut.
