i just replaced my tranny mounts (sm465) and now my harmonic balancer is rubbing on my engine crossmember! Do i need to replace my motor mounts or is the energy suspensions tranny mounts to big?

Most likely you just need to freplace the motor mounts, it's fairly easy to do. I would suggest not driving the truck(or running the engine) untill you fix this problem.

My oilpan used to rub on the crossmember, but ORD motor mounts solved that problem. Yes, i'd get new motor mounts. I used new stock rubber ones and they mushed after about 1000 miles again.

I would start with the motor mounts. If you are still having the problem, you could change the harmonic balancer to a smaller one (diameter), but you will have to change the timing tab as well. - Steve
