a K5'd Burb? with the roof chopped and a cap on the back? like a 4 door K5..

i think that'd be sweet... and very doable.. i'm thinking and assuming the burb might be a little wider? even so, i think it would be doable..

the cap could be made with a mold from the old sheetmetal. i've done quite a few molds in my line of work... i think the hardest part would be adding a lip and sheetmetal work around the back edge of the roof... but once again doable...

maybe as a real "project" vehicle after my DD build...

i'd love to see a pic of one...

one burb in fourwheeler mag had it done before. If I had a burb I'd do it but I'd put a soft cover on it to make it like a pickup. Ford sold the Centurian which was essentially a 4 door bronco and still had the removeable top.

It would have been easier if the burb was in good shape body wise when i started. The roof section is the hard part. I ended up using a truck box to replace the rusted out burb body in the rear. A blazer seal section and top arent that hard to do.

If somebody is really serious about it... I got a pretty good candidate for a convert-a-burb project, and it just happens to be for sale /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
