I agree, I have many problems getting the forums to load, even with my cable modem.

4 me the new forum is faster but i think the overall web(not this site but others) performance has gone down in the last 3 month's i am constantly getting timeouts web trafic jams and other errors i think to many people have cable modems and the servers cant handle the extera band width but as soon as i can i will get a cable modem so i will also be adding to the problem lol

It seemed slower at first with the new forum. But since the errors were fixed, I've been as fast or faster than the old forum. Plus I think it's easier to get around and love some of the new features. Oh yeah, 56k modem typically running between 44 and 46 k

Without major backing I'm afraid I can't afford a decent server.

This site's loading reminds me of my old 6.2.

The Cummins site I belong to is much faster, however it is a pay site ($35/year). While I wish this site was as fast, I can certainly understand the difficulties in operating a free site.

It may be just my imagination but I find it faster now too! When the site first changed, some things were slower. But strangely enough, I find that if I double-click on a function rather than single click like before, it is much faster.

Keep up the excellent work Steve. I don't think anyone means it as a criticism; just an observation.

I love this site too, but occasionally I have time to go and grab a cup of coffee between pages. On the other hand sometimes the pages load real fast. I don't know what to make of it.

    It works faster for me..
How many of you have cleaned up your internet files? Cookies? or cache files?
If you clean these folders out periodically.. Like every other day.. you'll notice a big difference with webpages loading.
I use internet explorer 5 and I clean up these files daily to keep things loading smoothly.

here's my .02. I can look around, read, post, read again, post my rebuttle or info I forgot to mention, ask questions, share opinions, get to know people from, probably every state. I can even have a repore with some of our friends from Canada. And actually have a conversation about MOTORS with our European friends across the Atlantic. Access a wealth of information, for free. We all learn here. My 4x4 knowledge base is exclusively the product of this site. So I get internet traffic, and my loading is slow, Is it really a big deal? Not for me. I personally appreciate this site, ........so thanks Steve............js
