Hello, just found you guys mentioned in Mens Journal magazine and have a question mabey one of your troops can answer. I drive an 81 K5 with 310 thousand miles on it. I`ve run after market 383`s for most of those miles, have just installed an GM HT-383. My question regards using the exhaust manifolds from a 79, 400cu. in. K5 , will they fit or possibly those from a late model Vortec truck application. This vehicle has a standard transmission so therefore the drivers side manifold has to come off at a 90 instead of a 45 degree angle which seems to be more common. Currently I`m still using the original 305/350 manifolds and I have doubts their capable of flowing as well with the later model heads. I don`t want to go to headers as the vehicle is driven daily and we are in a emissions inspected area. Your advice regarding manifold choices and, or suppliers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, DWA

So I run by my local News stand and find this magazine. Start flipping through it. Some gear and cool toys some pictures of hotties in bikini's. Maxim/Geroge type stuff with a little more out doors theme. Sure enough on I think it was page 86 there is a picture of a Hugger orange 71-71 K5 with the top off. Basic gist was "Cool vehile to drive" It refference www.coloradok5.com towards the end as a place to find out more about them. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Hay we have been making a fashin statement! WE ARE THE IN CROWD!
Well I guess I need to go trim my beard, get a hair cut, work on my pecks and find that wash board stomach under that beer gut. Hmmmm I got enough steel to make a weight bench.....No weights.....but I got a stipped down 12 bolt housing a several sets of rotoras and drums floating around the shop that will put the redneck twist on working out /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Sweet! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif I get to be part of the in crowd. I knew spending all that money on axles, lift, tires and metal would come in handy for something. Who cares if it can 'wheel, it's the cool thing to own! /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
