is it possible that my dog ate this pork roast we had?
i had 2 helpings, and my sister had one...when i came upstairs the LARGE chunk was GONE. only a few small pieces were left.

i had fed him 1.35 scoups of dog food and (gasp) some scraps when i went downstairs with my 2nd helping.

i did notice him looking guilty when i came upstairs with my dishes. but thought nothing of it.
    my sister didn't touch it...

the only thing is i dont understand how
we found no hair, or grease marks on the counter. no drippings of sauce on the floor near the counter. no small pieces on the counter. and he wasn't licking his chops when i came up. my sister didn't hear anything..

Do you think he did it? I checked his teeth and found no traces of pork.

    this is strange.
the back door was shut (im 92% sure it was) and

I got home from work one night before the wife and she called and asked if the hambuger on the counter was thawed and said if it was put it in the fridge. I looked around and couldn't find the hamburger. She said well I put it on the counter next to the buns I took out of the freezer. I couldn't find either one and they weren't in the freezer.

I looked in the dogs yard and found the styrofoam from the hamburger and the plastic bag from the buns.

So the dog had two pounds of raw hamburger and a package of 8 huge buns. She still ate all her food from the bowl and never got sick.

    :haha: :haha: :haha: Funny thread...

My dog does it all the time, we can't seem to break her of it. She's extremely slick, usually no trace of hair or anything on the counter, either. Anything she spills, she cleans right up.

We thought we had a safe zone on the counter that she couldn't reach. Well, she's learned to reach it. She's also started taking things out of the kitchen sink. I left an empty ice cream carton in there a few weeks ago, and the next morning it was in her cage. Among a dozen other snack wrappers...

If she/he's never done it before, try to watch him and catch him in the act of doing it again, and punish him for it.

tie some thread to it then tie the other end to some empty soda cans, then leave the room, when you hear the cans come crashing down, run in screaming and yelling! lol worked for my dog getting in the trash ;)

If you want to teach your dog to stay off the counter then get some double sided tape and put it along the countertop edge. They hate the way it feels on their paws.
