Header Gasket ?

    WHen putting on copper gaskets dp you need to use copper rtv sealant? Thanks

    You don't need to, and whether or not you do is up to you. Personally, I would not...the idea is that copper is soft and will crush and create a seal between the heads and headers/manifolds. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    I never tried the copper gaskets, But I did try stock exhaust manifold gaskets. My headers never leaked again. at least not from the heads /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

    yea i was told to get some napa premium header gaskets for my truck from someone. i got my new exhaust in and its much quiter...and i have a leak at the head that i guess i didnt even hear befor...and it really sticks out now!
