I had the same problem with the copper gaskets. I went to the standard Felpro gaskets and it worked. You could also have the heads resurfaced, I have never talked to any one who has done this, I have just heard about it. If you are still running stock heads I would just start looking around for a set of 202 heads, and rework them.

ya I have 194s in there now.
The paper one seem to work but only for a short while and I'm gettin tired of swapen gasket every 6mos.
I think i'll try the thicker deadsoft alum. one next.

Those are the gaskets I'm talking about, the seem to crush down nice and seal. As far as the 202 heads go I have a set ready to put on mine when I rebuild & stroke my engine, in about 3 months.

Does anyone know what the HP increase is when switching to 202's?
