I might be able to sell a guy my headers i got now when i change motors, anyway here is my question. Will Full length DOug Thorley headers from an 87 3/4ton 4x4 clear everything on a 88 1/2 ton 2wd? I know its a stretch, but figure what the heck.

Don't see why it wouldn't, there isn't anything in the way on the 2wds. Have to have the O2 sensors there, but should have it anyway off an 87.

Just check out the application charts on a couple of header web sites and see if they list the same part number for both of those rigs. There may be some subtle differences due to the change in the frame design that prevent the same header from fitting both trucks.
