I have a 73 Blazer with a 383 and bowtie heads. I e-mailed Doug Thorley's to see if the Try Y's would work, but unfortionatly they won't. Right now I have Headmans that have been cut, reworked, rewelded and banged in to fit my plugs and wires. I need quality headers for bowtie heads! I will also take suggestions on how to run my exhaust. Thanks!!!

Ok what the hell is a bowtie head? Angle plug head? Hooker or someone has to make a set. You might have to run the Accel shorty plugs to clear the header. Sorry but I have never heard of bowtie heads. Are they made by Chevy or aftermarket?

A bowtie head is made by GM. They were built for high performance applications. I don't see why regular SBC headers wouldn't work, unless you have something really unusual. I have a set of Phase 2 bowties sitting in my garage and the exhaust ports and mounting is no different from any other small block chevy.
