I got my 85 K5 back and now it runs strong......thanks for all the help.....I am running stock exhaust manifolds and want to put headers on, the air pump has been removed, so I will not have to have air tube compatible headers, my question is what are the peeps running or suggest for this set up:

    1985 K5 w/ 4" lift
    33" Rubber
    3.73 gears (I know gotta get 4.10's)
    350 Jasper with mild cam
    Holley Street Dominator Manifold
    Holley 4160 600 CFM Carb

    TIA /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I suggest you spend money on a new carb instead.

Edelbrock Thunder AVS, best carb I've ever had. QJunks never ran good, Holley 4160 was junk, Carter same as the rest, brand new Ebrock, my 355 loves me for treating it right.

Holley Truck Avenger and for headers [IMG] [IMG] Overview
    Vendor: Thorley Headers
    Product Line: Thorley Tri-Y Headers
    Material: Steel
    Finish: Chrome Plated

The best way to get rid of your exhaust.

    Chevrolet/GMC: 283-400 1961-66 pickup/Suburban, 1973-87 C10-35 truck, nickel chrome plated finish, Tri-Y style, headers

Thorley headers are designed to outflow your stock exhaust manifolds. This pair of headers increases gas mileage and gives your engine more horsepower across the entire rpm range. The Tri-Y configuration builds the most power in the middle rpm range, which is great for towing and steep grades. To make these headers last, Thorley made them out of durable 14-gauge mild steel, with 3/8 in. thick flanges and 5/16 in. collector rings. To prevent leaks, these headers have an O-ring welded into the flange in addition to the high temp gasket provided.

    Sold as a pair.

Chrome plated items carry no warranty for finish other than to be free from reasonable defects at the time of purchase prior to installation only. This warranty shall be limited to the repair, adjustment, and/or replacement of defective parts. [/ QUOTE ] Holley's can be a PITA, but once you get them tuned, you'll be very happy with it. I won't own Edelcrap anything !!!

I don't think there is any tuning that can make a Holley carb run at an angle.

[/ QUOTE ] The Holley Truck Avenger will run at up to a 45 degree angle, or so Holley claims.
