Has anyone had broken bolts/studs when removing the stock exhaust manifolds to install headers? Does the head have to come off if it breaks flush with the head? Are there any tricks-heat, solvent, etc- that make it easier? I'll be amazed if a collector passes the frame & front drive shaft-is this a problem area? The other posts seem to favor Dynomax system-comments?

Try some PB Nutblaster and let it soak for a little bit. It's not the same as WD-40. It works 100 times better. I haven't had that stuff fail me yet!

    I've got a mind like a . . . a . . . what's that thing called?

Like she said - PB Blaster will do it. As for collector clearance, mine (Hedman) went right in with no problems.

Oh sorry! I have Heddman and have not problems with the clearance. I think they might be one of the better ones for this problem.
