I have an 89 GMC Jimmy full size and am looking for a new pair of headers. I have found a pair of 1963-1982 Chevrolet Corvette small block 1 5/8" headers. I was wondering if A)these would fit my truck and B)would they be a good up grade. Thanks,
    Patrick

yes they would be a good upgrade, and yes they will fit the engine, but i'm not sure about clearing the frame and other stuff. /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

They will bolt on to the engine
    But
You will have to weld a bung in for your O2 sensor. Your truck wont run right without it. Also if you have strict smog laws they may not pass. There may be clearance issues with the frame and aircondition/ PS brackets. if you are getting them for free it might be worth giving them a try.
But i dont think i would pay money for somthing that may not fit right.

On a BBC the car headers wont work on the truck. Tried it. I would guess they would not work on a SBC either. But for free, its worth checking out.
