Went to go ship a 14 bolt carrier and gear set on Monday and only estimated 50# for the package up front. Got a shock when it came out at 80# /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif And that is only the small parts...

That sounds about right. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I shipped just a ring and pinion from a 14-bolt FF and it was 25 pounds! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I just shipped a bare 14 bolt carrier...no gears, no spiders, just the two halfs and it was 35 lbs. The side gears, spiders and cross shaft adds another 10 lbs easy. I can imagine the ring and pinion would add a fair chunk to that as well!
