HEI Connector

    i am looking for an HEI connector. The one that supplies power and tach connections. I had a single connector with no locking mechanism and it fell off in front of a heep, it was quite embarasing. can i get this as an aftermarket part.

    Dennis, I hacked my connector housing out of a wrecked car at the J-yard and walked out with it in my pocket. Then I just got some terminals that were compatible with the housing, crimped them onto my wires, and poked the terminals into the housing. Cheap...

    hey steve,

    i have been tring to do that but i am tired of paying a dollar for parts that i can't pocket, i mean find :-) i was hoping some auto parts store may carry it. they are either missing the module or that one connector that I need, you ever notice that? i'll try again this weekend...

    If you want to go new Retail mail order, you might try Ron Francis Wireworks. I know I've seen that connector in their catalog. He's on the net, but I don't recall the http.

    I think you can get it in the "HELP" section at your local auto parts store.
