hey yall my name is Beau.... I live in SC and I am building a 1 ton gm powered 1968 scout... (hey at least the sheet metal is still a scout..) like a jeep a scout can be a pretty nice rig once you ditch enough of the stock parts for good heavy duty ones...

    my build? here it is...

about 109" wheelbase wide and pretty low.. (i love my sawzall)... spring over on d60/14ff with leafs... prolly 52" fronts and 62" rears... maybe 39 or so for tires

    fuel injected chevy 350/sm465/np205

    axles locked with 4.56 gears...

most of this is either done or in the works... still figuring out fuel injection and front locker for d60. not done by any means... I guess I'm just another guy with a project in pieces

Well Welcome Aboard. Great to see a new member here in the region. I am working on meeting almost all of them here before too long.

Sounds like a nice build oyu have going on. I see keeping with the Jeep motto of "Built Jeep Tough with Chevy Stuff". I would be interested in seeing some pics of you have any to show.

Just browse around and make your self at home.

We try to do a few wheeling runs a year around here in a few different locations. Always welcome to join in the fun. I know there are a few more memberes from SC, but not too sure in where they are located in regards to you. Only place I have been in SC off of I-40 is to McBee, Lancaster and enroute to Charlotte from said destinations.

Welcome man. Sounds like you've got your hands full with that project. You're not the only one. Around about $32,000 total and I still don't have everything completed. Man I don't even like hearing myself say that. Well like I said Welcome. This is a good group of guys. Make your self at home.

yall are a trip... it's great to meet all of you!

I have to figure out how to post pics and then I will... I'm putting my np205 back together right now and I just twinsticked it.

I'm in Aiken SC kinda near Augusta GA.

yes it's a scout 800 had a slant 196 4 cylinder that I am using for a friends 1969 resto project.... Mine is way too beat up to get restored. I tore all the 1/4 ton stuf up because I can break a steel ball in a rubber room but that's another story. I am glad to meet yall and look forward to conversalising... ya yall already know we make up words down here lol

as i log more time here I will try to check out all your threads and when i get the picture thing figured out I will post a build thread on "Big Bertha" as I call her....
