    Time to throw it away and get a new truck,The cost of the gears will far exceed the value of it /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

    Maybe an axle shop or a dealer in your area might have those on the shelf.

    It's certainly a tooth...But it kinda looks like a ring gear tooth. lol, Anyways....You really might want to look into havin a shop do the work for ya. Unless you feel comfy with dial indicators, ft-lb and in-lb torque wrenches, setting backlash, reading the pattern, bearing preload. ect ect. It's NOT a smiple thing. If you lived in my town or atleast a bit closer, I'd help ya out...I just set up the gears in my rig. Hope it works out for ya.

    But maybe that's the reason you have a broken tooth on it now, cause you changed the wear pattern when you put the locker in.

    Hmmm, If you are changing out your gear set with a new set, then no, it's not basically the same as doin the locker. When ya did the locker did you remove the pinion gear? I hope not. But now you have too. You have to re set everything again. Pinion depth, pinion bearing preload, and back lash. You can't just stick the new ring and pinion in there and hope it will be correct. The new gear set might have different tolerances then the old stuff....A few thousenths here and a few thoudsenths there makes a difference. For example- The back lash spec for my 12 bolt is .006-.010. Thats only 4 thousands of an inch difference.
    Anyways, Here are the specs for your truck. Asmumming its a Chrysler 9 1/4.
    Pinion bearing pre-load= 14-19 In-lb's
    Backlash= .006-.010
    Ring gear bolt torque= 65 Ft-lb's
    Bearing cap torque= 75 Ft-lb's

    All these specs came from Yukon Gear's Installation Kit Instructions.
