Any TBI tank will have a sump, FWIW. You can buy all new, steel TBI tanks for approx. $130. (steel sump too, unlike stock plastic ones that suck)

No help on the sending unit issue, but can't see any reason you couldn't take one, and modify it with larger fuel fittings/tubes.

Competition Engineering sells this sump (pic is upside down) that can be brazed(?) onto your existing tank (Summit has it for $61.95).

I wanted to stay from the sump idea because it hangs down even more and the pumps need to be even lower but that may be the way to go. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I thought about a mod. on the sending unit but after pulling it out it may be a little more then I'm up to /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
    thanks for the help /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Where did you mount your fuel cell? In the bed or where the original tank was?

My TBI tank doens't have a sump.. The fuel is plumbed out throw the sending unit like normal carb'd engines with the exception of having the elec. pump being on the sending unit.
