Does the front driveshaft disassemble at the telescoping end like the rear driveshaft? I was finally able to get it to move about an inch from fully compressed. I've done all the hammering I care to do to get it off.

    Any suggestions? /forums/images/icons/mad.gif /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

Yes it does. There is a retaining sleeve that has to be threaded off before the slip joint will come completely apart.

Yeah I figured that out, but even when I slip the sleeve off, the splined end won't move more then an inch. It seems to have a hard stop.

Weird, mine pulls right out. I don't know of anything that should be holding it up..hmmmmmm. Unless you have a super secret snap ring, I'd say spline damage.
