HELP - How do you remove disc rotors

    Ok, Do i need the special tool to remove my rotor? or can i do it without it?

    You need a big four prong socket to remove the two spindle nuts. I dunno if you can rent them at Autozone or Checkers. I know they have the ones for Fords. They don't cost too much if you need to buy it. And probly a dental pick or "candle shaper" to remove the snap ring for your locking hubs.

    hub socket for a chevy 4x4. Should be about 15$ or so. Snap ring plyers will help, but arent mandatory if you have a pick or something small to get in the holes. Also, if you are trying to get your roter off of your hub... put an old lug nut on top of the studs and drive them out with a big hammer (that is, once you have everything off of the truck).

    ???? I'm all corn fused about your reply. In order to remove the rotor from the hub? Oh wait I see where your coming from..... I was thinking the spindle. I'll go back to sleep now![​IMG]

    Thanks for the help everyone. I got it off and got my lug studs all changed out. Now i dont have to worry about my wheel falling off
