HELP I am no Ford man but got a lead on a free 67\'

I am no Ford man but my mom's friend understands I like trucks and is willing to give it away for free. I need to know how to identify the valuables on a 67. Motor sounds like it runs and has new tires. I know ford c6 trannys are valuable but what else? She wants it out her yard but I can't afford to keep it stored up for too long maybe part it out after I get it off her hands my buddy need the engine if its any v-8 is it worth picking this thing up? 9inches are worth something these days as well aren't they?

Is it 2wd or 4wd. If its 2wd the 9" will be worth more because the bolt circle is 5x4.5 (same as jeep and chrsyler), for the 4wd its 5x5.5 so only another Ford guy can use it.

67 F-what? If it's a decent shortbed hold on to it and I'll come drag it home next time I come down to my inlaws'!!! Probably a 390 for the powerplant, easy swap over to a 428/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

BTW on the bolt pattern, Jeep CJ's and 94-up Rams are 5 on 5½ too/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Hey there is nothing wrong with a 390. Thats whats in my boat, and my boat spanks BBC all day long /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Not that I am a ford guy, but the FE motors have alot of power and are stronger than BBCs.

Why not drive it home and sell it as soon as you get it home. What kind of shape is it in? that is going to tell ya what it's worth? look it over and see what you got. There is always cash in the vehical if ya just look at the big picture.....
