help installing a manual choke

    I have to install a manual choke tomorrow on a 84 c-10 (2wd)

    Has non functional origional elect choke that keeps sticking closed and really runs like SH!T

    pointers???

    we got it in just fine... but didnt solve the rough idle/driving problem...

    it did solve the rough starting warm up problem...

    I know I'm replying to a really old post, but how much did the manual choke run ya? Does the carb still use the fast idle stuff with the manual choke? I've replaced my element almost a year ago and either it's bad again, or the linkage is hanging up. Pleanty of volts getting to it. Thought I'd try a manual one and quit messing with it. The carb itself runs fine. Just the choke giving me headaches.
