Ok, I'm getting to a point where I am going to put some effort into getting it looking half way presentable. Time to settle on a color scheme. I've always like orange, maybe with black accents, but one of my main wheelin' buds runs an orange truck very similar to mine, and matching colors would be just too much. I like yellow, but every freaking buggy you see is yellow, usually with black accents. I want something "slap my face" bright. What do you think, got any ideas on something a little unusual to make it stand out?

    Some ideas I've kicked around.

Gray with orange accents. It's a little noticeable, and easy touch up with gray primer as work is done...

Kawasaki green and something for accent. Maybe bright (old Yahmaha?) yellow? Or even neon orange?

Ok, now you know sorta what I have in mind... what ya got???

Just started paintin my 72K5 kaw green.Using rattle cans of engine paint for easy touch ups. I know it sounds hick, but I'm only after a 20 footer paintjob as there is bodywork needed that I don't intend to do! Should look good on black wheels (I hope!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif)

Dude I know how you feel. The wife and I sent a couple of hours spots painting here and there with all kinds of different color paints tonight to try and figure out what colors to use. I think we have it figured out and may need to change the name of the truck! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif with the new paint

I like orange (look to the left), but I understand your delima-bunch of green K5s around here. I would look for a bright blue w/ silver or "new cast" accents.

Lots of good ideas, keep 'em coming!

For those that don't know (or don't remember), here is an old pic of my truggy. Only major diff now is that it also has a tube front to match the back.
