I pulled the cover on my 14bolt the other day i thought it had 4.10's but now im not sure. the only markings on the ring gear are the letter "f" and then about 180 degrees on the other side 2Gm 39992485 11 41 9 77. 4.56? It came out of a 78/79 K20. thanks rugger

we'll if the 41 and 11 are correct then you have a set of 3.73's
To be for sure you need to count the teeth on the ring gear and the pinion and devide them.
    41(ring gear)/11(pinion)=3.727

LakeRat hs it right...the 11 and 41 are the number of teeth on ring and pinion gears. the 9 and 77 mean mean it was manufactured in September of 1977. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
