I had a drunken pelican sideswipe my hardtop yesterday and the managed to take out the sliding glass window on the hard top. The bird amazingly got up and flew away.

Does anyone have an extra factory tinted sliding window for the passenger side?

Also, does anyone had a hard top they are parting out? I need the aluminum housing for the entire window assembly. I removed the passenger side wind deflector glass and the screws that go into the houseing that secure the deflector mounts rusted off and screws are rusted into the holes. Anybody have this happen? If so...is there a way to get these screws out. The screw heads sheared off so only the small screw shafts are left and are sticking out about 1/4 inch.

Thanks for any help

just had both sides replaced about a monyh ago, they had to order them from the dealer, 600 bucks each side!!!!!!!!!!!
thank goodness for comp and collision ins.
final cost to me -0-
they replaced frame and rubber gaskets
before they knew ins was gonna cover they did say you could put a solid piece with no frame and just a gasket. way cheaper

It needs a bigger motor.
what's in it now?
doen't matter it NEEDS A BIGGER MOTOR

$600.00 EACH - That is CRAZY, I sure love my GM but I sure hate how they screw you for replacement parts. For the cost of two windows I can almost buy the front axle I want.

Maybe seagull collision is covered as part of my insurance. Still....if anyone out there is willing to part with their side windows....I am in the market!

I can probably get you a pair this weekend real cheap during my weekly visit to my favorite junkyard... I've had a pair sitting in my driveway waiting for me to replace my solid glass, but if you're really in a bind, maybe I can be convinced to part with them (after all the sweat and blood I spent getting them...).

I do have 2 one-piece solid's I picked up from the top I'm chopping into a soft top, if you want those. They mount right into the rubber gasket/molding/retainer with no metal/aluminum.

Also, if you have already or are going to remove the rubbers and they look good enough to hang on to and not replace, lay them flat and give them a good spray of silicone lubricant. They'll probably absorb the silicon immediately, so keep spraying it on until there's a light shine, then wipe them off. That will help a lot with re-install and sealing, too. Make sure you use silicone, too, petroleum products will eat the rubber. And spray them a couple days before installing, so's not to fill the cab with toxic fumes!!!!

I am in New York, 11747. There's a Fed Ex and UPS terminal about 3 miles from me.

Dang! One of the few times I bet you'd rather he crapped on your new shirt, huh?

I would like to see that!!!! How in the hell did that bird fly away after hitting the window that hard?!?! Anyways, try www.car-part.com You should be able to find something there. I dont think it will show a top but you could e-mail them and tell them exactly what you are looking for. Its worth a try instead of $600!!

I do not want to put anyone out, especially since you plan to install them yourself. However, if y ou happen to find another sliding glass window this weekend, I'd pay for your time to remove and mail it to me. See what the yard will charge and chances are I'll be more than happy to pay it. Let me know, you would be forever in my debt and I'd buy the beer if our paths ever cross.

Hey just pm me or bring this to the top around friday if you don't find one by then, otherwise the swiss cheese I call my mind will lose the thought when I get to the yard (like the electric fan bracket I've been forgetting for my wife's car for 2 years)...
If you need 'em asap and still haven't found something, PM/email me today and let's talk about the ones in my driveway.
