OK...need to get a tranny this weekend to have it ready to be put in on the 10th, hoping the posion oak is cleared up by then.

I have 1 guy that wants $640a K-case TH350 with everything (torque converter, shift kit) i have a fly wheel

any one else know a reputable shop? i don't do trannies, so i need a turn key model that is readily available.

NoSmog73...paging Mike, you said your Bro knew someone, but you never gave me the contact info...any updates??

    thanks everyone!

    Hi Zakk,

Certified Transmission in Gilroy is very good, but I'm not sure you want to come down that far south. Good luck!

Schucks transmissions. They seem to be very good. I have one built by them. There is one in Hayward, and one in Dublin. From what I understand the one in Dublin is better, cause thats the one the owner works at. Don't know about there prices anymore though

If you ordered the rebuild kit ($150 or so) and wanted to do it yourself i could help ya!

I also know of a place here not too far from my house called RPM transmissions in Campbell. 880 to the Camden exit if you know where that is.
I went to several tranny shops around here to get a thrust washer for when i was rebuilding my TH-400, and all the guys were dicks and half didn't know what i was talking about!?!?!
RPM transmissions was the only place that was very good, and knowledgeable. I'll take any tranny stuff back to that place, and reccomend it to people. They seem to be one of the better shops around here.
I don't even want to talk about the AAMCO rebuild jobs they do. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

    Zakk, you shoulda asked....

Ryan's right about RPM. They rebuilt the tranny in my dad's Link and also had mine apart in the black one.... I have the owner's name around somewhere.... Leonard something or other. Ask my dad about it.

Zack get a new torque converter when you do this. had the T350 in my '77 K20 rebuilt and the used a rebuilt conveter. The rebuilt convertor came apart and ate the trans.

The shop I use in Livermore charges $550 to rebuild a TH350. That includes rebuilding your torque converter.

Zakk, I talked to Markie (Marks Transmissions) today about your tranny. He told me he would do your tranny and converter for $475.00 CASH DEAL.

Gearworks in Hayward. They did my Mustang trans. They do lots of race stuff and I was truly impressed with the job they did on mime.
