help on transfer cases

    im putting a 454 in my 87 blazer, dont know much about transfer cases, have a 205? cast iron transfer,then i got a 203? tranfer,half the size but im told its cast iron and gear to gear and bullet proof!(both) is one better than the other

    The 203 is not a gear driven case, it is chain driven.
    The 203 is a good case as long as it is maintained.
    But if you are swapping in a BB I would go with the 205 as it is a gear driven case and will withstand the torque of a BB better than a 203.

    go with the 205....its stronger and not a full time t-case.

    Go with the 205. The 203 is a large beast, I don't know who told you it was half the size of a 205.
