I just swapped my 10 bolt with a 3.73 12 bolt. It makes a somewhat loud humming noise that increases with speed. I had the brakes done so it is not the shoes/drums. could this be wheel bearings? If not, what else could be causing this noise. Fluid level is fine in the diff. the ring and pinion dont seem to have any bad wear. all edges on the gears are sharp and clean. Any help would be great. I am a bit worried.

Yeah, that sounds to me like a bearing issue

is it a deep hum? or higher pitched? it could be either the bearings in the end of the axle (wheel bearings), or the carrier side bearings..
