    Hey All,
I'm in the process of replacing the U-joint that goes between the shaft and the pinion gear, but I can't seem the get the U-joint out of the drive shaft. Should it just slide right out or does it need to be pressed out. The quicker the help the better, the auto parts store closes in a hour.

    Thanks All

Has to be pressed out. you can do it with a vice and a couple of sockets if you have a big enough vice.

I'm sorry I don't think I get it. How do you use a vice and a couple of sockets. Do you put a socket on either side of the U-joint and compress it together or is this worng. Please let me know how you all do it!!!!!!

    Thanks

Yhanks guys I got it out. It just took a little more elbow grease than I thought. It broke loose after a little while then I just hammered it out. Thanks for the help.
