expedia, yahoo, cheaptickets.com are usual sites. Also try southwest airline's site. They often have pretty good prices. Also try Jet Blue's website. They fly from Phoenix to S.D. and I hear they're pretty good and good fares too.

    Shaun,

The price you got is about the cheapest I have seen, I trave to CA on a weekly basis. It looks like a Southwest price. Southwest is about the cheapest way to go.

Good luck, and be prepared, the security gates are backed up by over 1.5 hours. Make sure you check everything at the counter and don't get to the airport late, since this latest scare, it's a real challenge getting through security.

    yes,

south west, I have heard mostly good things about them, and I could have saved thirty bucks if I wanted to buy off a 3rd party website and add a connecting flight to LAX in each trip... which would only prolong the time spent at the airport..

I decided to just take a back pack, and where sandles when I fly, and keep it light. thanks for the heads up:D , I also noted the new rule on water containers as well...

FYI, if you didn't already know, make sure you check-in the night beofre, as soon as they allow it (it's usually 24-30 hours before the flight leaves) so you can get in Group A. Group A boards first and gets pick of seats. Southwest does not issue seat assignments. If you wait, you quickly wind up in Group C, which sits in middle seats surrounded by very large, sweating people whose extra girth flops over into your seat. Ewww.

Check in online the night before. Most airlines let you check-in online 24 hours before the flight, and some even 30 hours before the flight. Go to the southwest site and see how soon they allow online check-in and check-in online as soon as they allow it.

Try South West Airlines. They usely have the cheapest flights, but they don't fly into everywhere.
