Recently the Brake Light on my '90 Jimmy came on. At t first I thought it was the e-brake, but after disconnecting the switch from the circuit, the light stayed on. Brake fluid levels are normal, and not experiencing any problems with the brakes. Could this be the proportioning valve going bad? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My scan tool can also scan the brake codes...i dont know, but you might be able to use a paper clip and get some trouble codes from it
