    Here is the answer to the question,\"Do I need a Full-Floater Axle?\"

Everyone keeps asking if they should get a full-floater or a semi floater. Well I think this pic answers everyones question. It was taken at the 1992 California 250 HDRA. I saw it in a magazine and had to share it.

I might catch hell from you guys for this, but I don't want a full floating axle. They're heavy and a PITA to do brakes on, and I know quite a bit about the c clip axles.

I suppose one day I'll have one and I'll never go back, but for now, my 14 bolt semi floater works just fine.

Install disks when you do. Saves 70lb each wheel (I think).
That will help both of your concerns.
    The 14ff has larger/stronger R & P also.

I'm also one of the "don't want a full floater" crowd - Maybe a Warn full-floater kit on the 10 bolt, but that's about it. I've got the K5 on a diet, trying to lose as much weight as I can.

my sub has a semi floating 14b and its just fine. ive jumped the thing a few times too. im not saying that i dont want a 14bff, that'd be cool, but im happy with my axle.
