Here\'s a pic of \"Mini-Me\"....the 2nd Gen Blazer now in my life!

Thanks for all your help on my previous questions about 2nd Gen Trucks......here's a pic of "Mini-Me":

I have a decent list of reciepts for work completed. "Tune Ups" never included wires, cap, rotor, O2 sensor, etc. Usually just plugs and a fuel filter. The HC level on the most recent smog check were near the upper limit, so I think I've got a bad plug wire? or the dist it just worn out....sound like the right diagnosis? /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

    UYB,

The interior shot is in my gallery....and if you LOOK carefully, you can see that the DS is trimmed....see how the chrome moulding no longer carries all the way to the bottom? /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

No rubbing anymore.....pretty cool 35's and no lift!

Oh man, does that bring back memories. My Jimmy was painted in that exact same color and scheme when I first got it. Too bad it didn't look that good though. The only difference is where the pinstrips are and the body molding. Mine were run right down the crease on the fenders and the molding was the black ridged style with the chrome accent stripe on the top of it. Sweet looking ride man. I'm impressed with the quality of that.

    Very nice, congrats.

Smog stuff could be lots of things. If the wires look "weathered", I would put a set on just so you *know*. Get a set of Taylors if you can. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the O2 sensor. Again, a cheap replacement.

Is it carbed or TBI? If you have TBI, I highly recommend WinALDL to figure out what's going on inside the ECM...

Nice truck Greg, Now you just need a nice stereo like mine in it. O yeah might want to get rid of that Gov-Loc if you got one, Mine just took a dump on me and wasted the whole rear end. If you look a little to the left of this you can see what my Gov-Loc looked like after i pulled the cover.

    Russ,

It's TBI.....so tell me a bit more about this WinALDL?

I'm guessing it's some sort of laptop utility....perhaps with a serial interface?

hey greg, that looks like a nice blazer, and i think you got it for a good price, /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
especially with no rust, and as many of you guys as there are out there, you can prolly get it lifted and ready for your spare or "light duty" wheeler,

you must be living right, some guys have all the luck /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Nope.....no lifts, or special mods on THIS one!

Today I got the dashboard lights all replaced....tomorrow I might do a tuneup, and flush the tranny fluid to assess how bad the transmission really is.

Beyond that....it needs to get me around town, pick up parts...and be reliable. No 38.5"s or 1-Ton axles....no lockers or 502 crate motors. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Greg Greg Greg.......You have to do atleast a lift. Even 2 or 3" would be better than stock. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
