I understand its a "wish list", but your axles can be had for far less even if you don't want to rebuild them yourself. I haven't run a sway bar in years, no problems, you can save a couple bucks without the disconnect, and I'd have to agree on avoiding the raptor. other than that nice list. I think mine would include a 60'x40' garage for my toys, w/ a lift. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah I know those axles are $$$ I just took the price from the Boyces web page. I have heard all the bad stuff about the Raptor but I figure I am still in the right price range. What is another good company to look at for 700's? Whats wrong with M/T Classic II's?

wait till the wife see'd my list

I'd hardly call Alcoa forged aluminum wheels crappy. Welds look better IMO, but the Alcoas are just as good.

Classic II's are not forged aluminum, nor are they made by Alcoa (as are the other 2). Classics and Challengers are hot forged, II's are cast.

Yep, that is where I was going to go. The disconnects are something that is not worth the time or money to me. I had them, and after I drove around with it disconnected on the street I found out it was something I could live without. I sold my disconnects and haven't had a front swaybar in over a year now. I only have 2.5" lift and it doesn't bother me enough to want the swaybar back.

Yeah I read some of those "horror" stories. What are some other places for good 700's. What does a 465 project run??

Hell if it is only money and you want to go big, get a 4L80E trans to go in instead of the 700R4. It is alot tougher and still has overdrive.

    Re: Here\'s my \"wish\" list

based on others experiences, Id have to agree on the raptor, get a Jet instead. That said, I run a raptor and its been great. I dunno, maybe I just caught the tranny builder guy on a good day? who can say. all i know is that the one I have works. I installed a big cooler on it, and am going to install a external filter kit (summit style)... but as I said, thusfar its worked great...
