i did a motor swap about a month ago, and i have this hesitation at about 1500 rpm, but after the hesitation it runs like a raped ape. I figured it was timing so i changed cap, plugs, rotor, then after all that the distributer and still does it. I did however add a new comp cam part number 12-249-4 http://compcams.com/Technical/Search/CamDetails.asp?PartNumber=12-249-4 that is computer friendly. im starting to think its in the transmission, what do y'all think? everything has been adjusted to what it should be.

Have you talked to Comp Cams about it? Their tech line should have some useful info. Perhaps that cam works best with a particular aftermarket chip in the ECM, and/or a tad higher fuel pressure.
