Only one I have personal experience with is the Taser. It's a fantastic piece of equipment that works as advertised. There are some limitations to it, i.e. weather and range; but I think pepper spray, outside of using it for spicing up food, is obselete. Now obviously, you can't bash a car window with it like a baton, so that weapon will always have a place.

I think the police need to be more old fashined, like Andy Griffith, but when they need to go violent, I want them to go Hell bent.

We play Andy Griffith when we want to.

As for the rest of it,

If you have not lived in Oklahoma, you will not have any idea how law enforcement works there-MORE common sense and less BS makes OK law enforcement a positive experience, unlike some other states I have lived in.

And if those options don't work, we're kicking some ass /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

That is one thing that slays me about out here. You know you are getting a ticket when you're invited to the patrol car for a seat. I never, ever invite anyone to my front seat. Officer safety issues redline. But then again, OHP is still stuck in the 1950's with some of their crackpot ideas, but the troopers are always willing to jump into the **** with the locals /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I wish, ferverntly, for a future like the past, where the police were just like everyone else, excpet with more belt accesories, and a nice little barred in house to put you in. Otherwise, beer, help you on the side of the road, free coffe, bad weather, old discussion, spraypaint, waffles, tan pants, beat cars, and.............. whip antenneas

    It's them damn rappers

Well, I've spent probably about 5 hours this week on the side of the road with various folks in some sort of distress.

We get free coffee; but I don't drink coffee and I kind of frown upon that.

We've had plenty of bad weather this week.

We have tan shirts, does that count?

My car is getting beat on a regular basis. And the boss thinks it will last 80K miles.......... /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

And most of our antennas are 3 ft steel whips.

Absolutely. I've pulled a couple of stunts here that would have landed my a$$ in jail in California that the cops have smirked at here. God I love this place.
