Here's the Pics of my new fiberglass drop hood. It's made by AutoFab in San Diego, Ca. SOOOO...much lighter than stock steel.:woot:Better visability, and unusual compared to the regular hood scoops, etc. Paint might be nice, but whatever.....Thanks for the chance to pic whore my hood..:D

About $500.00 ish. Street weight fiberglass, so I mounted it with the hinges minus the springs. easy to open.

What company did you get the hood from? Your truck looks great. Iv'e never seen a drop hood before. Is there a design reason behind it? How much does it weigh? I want it!:D

AutoFab in San Diego, Ca. They call it a "drop center hood". www.autofab.com It was delevoped in the 70's for racing to improve visibility. Don't know weight, But I easily lifted it onto the truck by myself when I installed it!! There have been several posts here at CK5 over the years. I believe that's where I first saw it. There's a company in Florda that sells one also. www.usbodysource.com It's the shipping that'll kill you!:doah: Just depends witch coast you're on.
    I love my hood....:D
I do like how my truck is comming along:rolleyes: Thanks

    I like flames....wife doesn't...:o
However, I have been thinking of doing a dragon silhouette painted with hurculiner like the bumpers and door panels. It would start on the hood and travel down the doors, on both sides. Maybe I'll get to that one day:rolleyes:
