    IS there anyway that I can adjust the float level without having to take the carb apart it si a stock qjet form an 85 with a 305?

    You definitely have to remove the air horn, or you won't have a way of measuring the level. It's not that complicated. Just remove the accel. pump and choke linkages and remove the screws. It should come pretty easily. Adjust float level and the reassemble everything in the reverse order.

    if you are careful and don't lose any parts you should do fine.

    Bazer79 is right. the top of the carb has to come off. It can be done without completly taking the carb off the truck.
