What makes a good video? I'm re-doing my project torque video that detailes almost the entire build. Its basically a slide show of pictures and some videos of the process. Besides just catchy music and fading slides, what makes it interesting enough to keep watching. This will be a long (15-30 minute) video probably and I dont want someone closing it 1/2 way through. Thanks :) Maybe start off with a burn out to keep their interest? lol

Proper audio selection is key in holding anybody's interest. I dont want to watch a truck being built to techno.

Aquire some action footage and use it for cut scenes to keep interest.

That thing with your buddy gettin soaked should definatly be in there.

    stuff like that.

Whew, I worked almost eight hours today on another safety video for my company. I develop the story line, direct, shoot, edit, write the narration, record my wife's narration, cut mix the sound, find cut/mix the background music, shoot stills, crop/title those, produce, publish to DVD and let's see............oh, acted the first time in my third one (current one). Anyway, my advice is just keep at it and don't rush or take shortcuts.
