Dont know about the tranny, but for a few years at least, I know they used the same transfer case.

Btw, while I never took a ruler to measure a bronco, the bronco was made to compete with the K5. They are very very close in size. Unless your talking about a bronco II

I am not really an expert on this, but I will spew some BS anyway. GM did use a few NP435s in some applications, which is a tranny that was also used by Ford. I think what you would want to do in your case though, is use a T18. It is very easy to adapt a Ford T18 to a GM bellhousing, and then you can use a Ford Dana 20, or NP205 t-case behind it. Parts Mike is the ultimate T18 expert.

PS, and Pookster, I think he is talking about an EB or early Bronco - the '66 - '77 body style.

Only downside to that is the amount of work to get to where an early bronco is in stock form... But if you want all GM it can and has been done.

Might be fun building a custom frame with cage like the hardcore rock crawlers. Could build it for extream ground clearence, mount the springs how ever you want, ... ect.
