    Hows things been out here?

Been thinking about getting my old Burb back from Bryan. Hows things been? Where y'all been wheeling at the most lately? I'm moving another 45min NW of my current house early next year (house being built, existing house is SOLD!!!) so I'll still be... well WAY far from most any decent place to wheel! Not to mention that the Burb is all STOCK! :haha: Anyways, I wanted to drop a line in here and see how everyone's been.

    :haha: :D

No one has any updates on how they are doing?

Also, is it just me, or is everyone and their dog getting out of wheeling right now?

Living there? As in you sold it to someone, or.... ???

Like I said, seems like no one is hardcore wheeling much anymore, cept the peeps that live within a couple hours from good wheelin spots.

yeah... i scabbed the 1 tons out of it, and sold them, along with the 40s and locks to a kid in Frankfort, and then his buddy bought the rest of the truck on 3/4 tons minus the motor. its currently riding on Tim's old 38.5 TSLs, which belonged to you at one point didnt they?

Not everyone, i just "finished" a new rig and had it out this weekend. I try and get out as often as possible, at least once a month, and I pretty much always have an open seat if you ever get the itch to hit the trails.

I haven't been out yet this year, but I will once I get the new motor running in the jeep. Just need to figure out the rest of the wiring so it will fire the injectors.

Hi Dan, I haven't been wheeling as often this summer, but I'm ready to get out more this fall. I want to go up to the Cliffs soon.

I've been out tooling around, about once a month, I've hit badlands 3 times, Redbird SRA in May, some trails around Spencer Indiana for the Indiana fun fest. I just haven't been able to travel too far because of family committments and GAS$$$.

You need to pick up a $500 blazer, keep the necessities to go wheelin, slap some 33's or 35' on her and ease back into it. Your black K5 was awesome, but it seemed you packed to much money into it too fast.

Here's a poser from Redbird in May,

HA! Too much money???? YOU KIDDING? I had over $20k in that truck easily.

I'm working on getting some kind of truck again now, but it may end up being a Burban! :)

$20 G's!!! Wow, You had all the gizmos that's for sure. Next time kept it simple. A burb will be fun and go everywhere except the tightest trials. Good luck. -Mark

My rig is just about done, so I'll join the wheeling crowd again. We also have one more addition to our family - a little boy named Tristan. He was born on August 5th. So, it's 3 kids for us!

I'll post up pics after the weekend of both My SON and the S-TON.

Todd's still wheelin too - even more than me. In fact, he just broke the rear output casing off his t-case last weekend at Flat Nasty!

I'll be competing in the Rockport shop challenge the first weekend of October. You should ride down with Tyler and company!

    Yep, still wheelin'!

We just back back from a new park here in MO called Flat Nasty.
    This places ROCKS!

The carnage (for me) was both motor mounts, the transfer case mount and cracked the slip yoke housing off of the 241 case...All on one 8ft ledge.

I was back on the trailer in 5 hrs of wheelin'. :(

HOLY HAMMERED BED BATMAN! :eek1:

    Todd,

Nice modifications on the K5 since the last time I saw it! ;)

Also, where is that new place located in MO? EDIT - ITS IN SALEM, MO! I just have to follow the link in your sig!

From my new house its Distance: 455 mi (about 8 hours 35 mins). Hrmmm... where is Jeff... Maybe I need to reaquire my K5... :haha: :doah:

How does that 1/2 Chevy pull your loaded trailer? Any issues with heat, or poor driveability?

1998 Yukon with a votech 350 tows the Blazer- OK.
OK means that the trailer doesn't shake or shimmy too much, but the motor struggles on steep inclines.

My trailer is a heavy carhauler with electric brakes, so stopping is not too bad.
The Yukon squats a bit. I believe an air bag setup would fix that.

This setup will get me by until my BBC Burb with one ton springs and a 3/4 ton axle set is ready...

Get a rig so we can go wheelin'!!
