\"Hey Look\" K5 club in northern California

Hey All,
I'm thinking about starting a K5 club here in the Sacramento and surrounding areas. Just something for us to get together and make some runs and have some fun this summer.
How bout some input on this, good or bad. Or if there is a club up here already let me know. I have been in many car clubs in the past and now that I have a "real" truck its time to have fun again with you all. comon ya know ya wanna.

I live in Sacramento....sounds good to me. I am sick of the jeeper clubs around here. All I ever hear is them and their rubicon stuff they have planned! I wanna have a K5 trip! Let me know what you get going! :-)

Sounds like a good idea. I'm south of Fresno, so getting to monthly meeting would be out of hand, I could be an "at large" member. There's some good wheelin down here.

Hey there, The more the merrier.......I mean the more the eaiser it is to get me out of a mud hole. Yea understandable a monthly meeting would be hard but then again we could hold a meeting in different locations or what ever, any input is appreciated and I will shortly put up a website for us.

I'm in Santa Rosa and I want in. I wheel at Pillsbury and Cow Mtn. I'm ready to go, man! I have both my trucks in the Petaluma Mud Bogs this St. Patrick's Day--my 1st event! I like the idea of a Fullsize Rubicon Run. I am available on weekends.

Re: \"Hey Look\" K5 club in northern California

It is a Mike Welch Motorsports event (basically a monster truck show). It is at the Petaluma Fairgrounds on Sat., March 17th. Gates open at 5:30, action starts at 7:30. Tickets are $12 for spectators 6 yrs. old and older with tickets available at Johnny Franklin's (707)546-7751. Get tix immediately before it sells out. Petaluma is 1 hr, 30 min from Sacto. on Hwy 101. NB 101 to E. Washington Blvd. Get off freeway, take a left, go about 1/2 mile and you are at the fairgrounds. To enter your truck, bring your helmet and seatbelts and $40 (no ticket required) to the Petaluma Fairgrounds at noon on Sat., March 17th. My pager/VM is (707)973-4065 and my trucks can be seen at http://www.bigerik.coloradoK5.com. Bring putty knives to scrape off the mud if you race. All are invited, but I still hope to win [IMG].

ok, ya got one more. i live in brentwood, so sacremento isn't out of the question. i know there's some wheelin areas over there, too.
and since we're all here, what's up with the frank raines trip? i might go this weekend, definitely going next weekend. unless i break something. i'm golfing today, so it depends on how late i get home tonight. i might accidentally use up all my free husband time!

YaaaaHoooooo!!! I hope we can pull this off?? I would like and have been looking for quite sometime for a K5 club! That would be cool if we had a logo made into a sticker to put on our rigs, ya know like the yellow California Club one. Any body good at makeing logos and such? What about a name?
Is there someting we need to do to make it an "Offical" club? I ain't never been in a club so don't have a clue how they work!
Seams like a great way to go wheelin!!

Allright !!!!
In one day there looks to be 8 people so far, thats good enough for me. I will post a web page by the night and have some links set up. As far as a name I came up with
"The K5 Connetion" and came up with a cool logo. But I am stll open to ideas, I want something that you would want to put on your ride. I am very glad to see people interested in bringing together what we all like to do. I can tell you what ever it is we do you cant help but have fun.
Thanks, and tell a friend.

Re: \"Hey Look\" K5 club in northern California

Hmmm, a name for a K5 club in California????
The K5 Connection sounds like more of a parts or information source than a club name, although it does flow when you say it?? I was thinking Kalifornia K5 Klub but that kinda looks like KKK and I'm not a raciest butt head so........???
Sierra FullSize
K5 Mountain Climbers
K5 Trail Blazers
I don't know just thinking out loud??????????
Lets hear some more ideas.......

Re: \"Hey Look\" K5 club in northern California

well now that i think about this...this shouldent be just a K5 club....make it just a all around 4x4club....out of my group of friends i am the only one with a blazer...the rest has, broncos jeeps and ram chargers and i know they would all like to do this too...so maybe come up with a name and just leave out the k5 part of it...may like....Valley 4wheelers etc.....i know everyone is partal to blazers but my best friend has a very nice 70 bronco i helped him build it from the ground up...if i dident like chevy so much i think my next choice of rig would be a older bronco (not the full size).
