I belive your mosty Doug-Fir up ther so a 2x6 @ 24"o.c. will work for the roof (I'd personaly use 2x8) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'd use a ledger to secure the roof to the building with hangers. And probably a dbl 2x8 beam on the outside wall. Span Chart

    So you'd need:

3 4x4-10 for post (assuming 2-3' in ground)
    3 2x8-12 for the ledger
6 2x8-12 for the beam (doubled up)
17 2x8-10 for the rafters (thats close the actual diag is 9-8 1/2" so if you were to go with 12' you could use the off fall for blocking)
    3 4x4 post beam connectors
17 rt-7 hurricain ties for the rafters
15 2x8 joist hangers (notch joist to fit its cheaper than a sloped hanger)
    4 MPA-5 Corncer brackets
    50' of 16" flashing
12 Ice Cold Corona for each day of work

You could switch to 6x6 for the post and notch them to hold the beam that might help with lateral roll and for 3 it wouldnt ad much cost /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Use the off-fall from the rafters to block at 4' from the wall, this would be like a purlin to help stiffen the metal on the roof /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

If they sell it up your way check on Ondura for the roof. Its a composit and for the life of it you have less maintenance and it will last alot longer

    Oh yea...add a 4x4 or 6x6..I forgot the 1st one /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
