A young coed, away from home at her first year at a distant university,
wrote to her father, a rather successful veterinarian and asked for $300 to
    buy a bicycle.

After receiving the cash, and headed for the bicycle shop, she passed a
pet store. Being a pet lover (she IS a veterinarian's daughter!), and
somewhat lonely, she went into the pet shop and fell in love with a
"companion", a monkey, which coincidentally cost $300. She abandoned the
bicycle idea, bought the monkey, and failed to tell her father.

Some months later, the monkey started to lose its hair, in large clumps.

Not knowing where else to turn, she wrote to her father and said "all the
hair is falling off my monkey, what should I do?"

    The fathers reply?

    "Sell the bicycle!"
