    Hi everyone!

I've been lurking on this board for a while now, and have found it to be the most knowledgeable and friendly board I've come across. Now that I've registered, I wanted to introduce myself. You've all been a huge source of information on my current project, which is a frame-up build of a '73 3/4-ton Suburban. Although it isn't running yet, I'm hoping to turn the key by the end of summer, if finances allow.

Most of my experience is with engines, but with your help, I'm getting better at all the other stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute some knowledge and I'm sure to continue to learn from all of you.

    Thanks,

    502Burban

Welcome aboard and I can tell you from experience, there's nothing like 500+ cubic inches in a Suburban 4x4. Awsome torque and pulling power. You'll have to keep us posted on this beast and let us know how it runs. You're bringing back fond memories for me.

Welcome aboard from Texas! I, too, am new to this site. But I must warn you it is addictive. Hell, I joined on June 6 and already have nearly 50 posts/replies! And 4 of those days I was in Mexico away from my PC! I am re-doing my 85 Jimmy. It has been sitting by the curb for almost 6 years while I have been sporting around in my sports car. Well, no more. It is being reborn. I also say it is being re-done instead of rebuilt or restored because it wasn't in bad shape, just 90% stock. Well, the 4" lift goes on this weekend. The Conn-Ferr rack with a full compliment of lights next week. New rims (Hellcats) shortly thereafter. New interior this Fall and a new 350 next Spring.

This site has given me all the information I need so far, as well as some good new contacts and friends. People around here have already helped me spend almost $2,000 in the past 10 days!!

    Hey Rocko!

Thanks for your comments on the photos. I've done some buildups before, but never one quite this ambitious, so I've been trying to document the process this time.

After all the hard work, it's nice to have it appreciated by others who know what's involved. I saw your home page a while back... Nice rides, especially the '72. I've always liked the lines of the 1st generation GM trucks the best (hope this won't get me flamed[IMG] ). But I went for the 2nd generation on the Burban because I wanted the electric rear window.

    Take care,

    502Burban
