Cool. Are they still in business? The link to their web site is dead. [IMG]

harry: Im pretty sure they are still in business, Im still seeing ads in the 4x4 mags.......Give em a call and find out. Its toll free.......

Emmettology: They said that the tires were fine to run as steering tires. On semis, the tires are only retreaded using a new strip of tread rubber (already made in a big long roll) they just cut off what they need and then glue it to the old tire body. this is why you see the big "alligators" on the HW from the big trucks. On the light truck tires, the body is chemically and mechanically prepped, and then the new rubber is molded onto the body in an actual mold, new rubber going onto the tire and being bonded with heat and pressure over much time. this is makes the tire one unit, as opposed to the semi tires which are a tire body and a tread strip glued on the outside.
