I have a 4-ch amp I will be running my speakers off of. I originally had it behind the rear seat, but I am going to get a soft top. Where can I hide the amp where it can't be seen and will not overheat? Thanks

Got side panels? You can rig up something to put it behind there. Or you can place it under the front seats somehow. If you go with under the seats it's way easier to access it....

I thought about putting it under the drivers seat, but I went out and looked at it and their isnt enough room. I'm thinking about mounting it behind the spare. It would be hard to access but it would be hard to see.

I have a 4 channel amp under the passenger seat. Maybe yours is a different shape than mine but mine fits under the seat just fine. Its a 370W pioneer amp.

If you dont have sidepanels in the rear, behind the factory spare location would be a great place for the amp. I have mine mounted right on the side of my tub (see webshots). Works great, and gets plenty of cooling air going over it. Not very theft resistant, but I mounted it there so it'd be way high and out of the water when I do water crossings and such. The old under-the-seat location kinda sucks when 100 gallons of waters runs not your tub. =p

If you are in to audio, i am sure you have a friend or can get a shot amp. If you can, get that and put it under your seat with some wires that go nowhere. Mount it down, but not REAL good. If some one steals your subs they will be looking for an amp even if you hid real good. They will not care if they FU@# up your truck, if they have 10 mins they can find it. I was thinking about putting some subs in my K5 and this was what i was going to do. Remove the rear Tire. make a box that has the but do not put the top on it till last. drill a hole in the box and put the bolt that goes the tire carrier (or longer) back in with some good loc-tight on it. place the amp in the side panals. when putting the speakers in the box use bolts with lock nuts on the back side, along with wood screws. When puting the top on use different types of heads on your screws. and make sure your mount a shity blown amp some place that it viewable but not easy to get to.

    just an idea.

I have a sub floor in the back of my k5 use a piece of ply wood and 1x4 to set it up. cut out a hole for the amp to sit in. mine is covered with plexi glass for trick look. and run all wires under the floor nice clean finish. you can also pick up some small 12v fans for ventalation at radio shack. i will get some pics up soon! add a pit bull for security. just a thought!

I got a neon stuck in my grill !!!!
